Siemens has announced the launch of its new range of energy-efficient motors named “SIMOTICS 1LE7” in India. As per the Indian standards, the newly developed motors provide more efficiency than the IE3 standards which is currently the most efficient class. According to the Siemens, the SIMOTICS 1LE7 motors of different frame sizes are capable of offering average capital savings from about 8% to 20%. Additional to the financial savings, these motors can also help the customers to reduce the overall lifecycle expenses and also meet the environmental regulations.
The company majorly aims to develop a highly efficient and reliable motor which can enhance the performance of intensive energy utilization companies such as cement, power, textiles, paper and pulp, mining, metals, and power generation. On the other hand, the motor has to be lower in energy consumption, carbon footprinting, as well as operational costs.
Executive Vice President and Country Division Lead Bhaskar Mandal of Siemens India said that since 1966, Siemens is a recognized pioneer in the manufacturing sector of the art motors and develops it for the diverse sectors, power classes, and applications. Siemens Ltd. was the first company in India to manufacture the IE2 and IE3 efficiency class industrial motors locally. These are the two low voltage IE motors been sold in India on a Large scale till date.
Thus, Siemens is focusing on the development of energy-efficient low voltage motor in 2017 in India as a boon for the energy intensive industries.
